They are specially adapted for Swedish television airtimes and ª ª formats. Big thanks goes out to the writers of the US draft for all the ª ª time and effort they put into it. ª ª ª +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ ª +---[ RELEASE RULES ]---+ ª ª ª ª Release sizing: ª ª - Shows 18:00-23:59 shall be 175MB ª ª - Shows 24:00-34:59 shall be 233MB ª ª - Shows 35:00-51:59 shall be 350MB ª ª - Shows 52:00-64:59 shall be 525MB* ª ª - Shows 65:00-95:00 Shall be 700MB ª ª *NOTE: Shows 52:00-64:59 may be sized at either 525 or 700MB at the ª ª capper's discretion based on show framerate and content. ª ª ª ª - Shows of any other length should be sized at ripper's discretion ª ª ª ª - Best effort should be made to release all episodes of a given series ª ª at the same size. If one episode runs slightly over or under the size ª ª lines, it should still be done at the same size as other episodes in ª ª order to maintain consistency. ª ª ª ª - 2CD releases may be optionally split into separate discs, but this is ª ª not required. 3CD or more releases must be split to prevent issues with ª ª >2GB files. If releases are split into multiple discs, they must be ª ª placed in directories named CD1, CD2, CD3, etc. (No Disc1, cd1, or other ª ª naming styles). ª ª ª ª - Episodes that air back-to-back without a natural break such as full ª ª credits or commercials in between must be encoded as a single release. ª ª Directory naming for this will be in the following format: ª ª TV.Show.S03E04-E05.SWEDiSH.HDTV.XviD-Group. ª ª ª ª - Releases must be within the range of 5.0MB under to 3.0 MB over the ª ª target size. ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª Previously on/Credits: ª ª - It is suggested that any "previously on" footage be included in the ª ª release, but it is not required. No release may be propered for glitches ª ª in or missing portions of "previously on" footage. ª ª ª ª - Credits that are overlayed on actual show content are required to be ª ª included. ª ª ª ª - Credits that are run cleanly, i.e. with no modifications such as ª ª promos for upcoming shows, are encouraged but not required. ª ª ª ª - Credits run with promos for other shows are not recommended, but may ª ª optionally be included. ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª Video: ª ª - 2-pass variable bitrate XviD must be used. ª ª ª ª - The second pass must be done as spanning the entire episode with ª ª bitrate distribution based on need determined from a stats file ª ª referencing the entire episode; segmenting with arbitrary bitrates is ª ª banned. ª ª ª ª - Quantization type must be either MPEG or H.263. Custom quantization ª ª matrices are not allowed. ª ª ª ª - QPel and GMC are not allowed. ª ª ª ª - B Frames: ª ª - The use of B frames is required. ª ª - A maximum of 2 consecutive B frames may be used. ª ª - This document gives no preference to packed vs. unpacked bitstreams ª ª as there are benefits to each format, and it is trivial to convert ª ª between them using MPEG4 Modifier. ª ª ª ª - Framerate must be 25.000 fps. ª ª ª ª - Valid resolutions are: ª ª Width: 512 - 640 pixels for WS material. ª ª 512 - 576 pixels for FS material. ª ª Height and Width: Must be a multiple of 16. ª ª ª ª - Must be within 5% of the original aspect ratio. ª ª ª ª - Releases shall be cropped so that all black/noise on the edges is ª ª removed. In the case of changing crops, cropping should be done so that ª ª no part of the release is overcropped. Portions of a channel logo ª ª extending into black areas must be cropped. ª ª ª ª - Video defacement such as intros, outros, and group watermarks is ª ª forbidden. ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª Audio: ª ª - Allowed audio formats are VBR MP3 and original AC3. ABR is considered a ª ª VBR technique. ª ª ª ª - Average bitrate on MP3 audio may not exceed 192kbps. ª ª ª ª - MP3 audio must be normalized. ª ª ª ª - Audio frequency must be maintained at 48kHz. ª ª ª ª - Original AC3 audio may be used at the discretion of the capper. ª ª However, transcoding to AC3 is forbidden. ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª ª Release Naming/Packaging: ª ª - Directory Naming: ª ª - Numbering for episodic programming shall be in the format S00E00 or ª ª or S00E000 for series with more than 99 episodes per season. ª ª - Number for date-based programming including sports and variety shows ª ª shall be in the format YYYY.MM.DD ª ª - Other numbering formats such as S00.E00, DD.MM.YY, and MM.DD.YY are ª ª not permitted. ª ª - For variety shows, it is strongly recommended that the primary ª ª guest's name be included in the directory name. ª ª - Releases are to be named in the format ª ª Show.Name.S00E00.SWEDiSH.HDTV.XviD-Group ª ª Show.Name.2007.11.06.Guest.SWEDiSH.HDTV.XviD-Group ª ª Show.Name.2007.E00.SWEDiSH.HDTV.XviD-Group ª ª ª ª - Additional Tagging: ª ª - PROPER, REPACK, RERIP, REAL, UNCUT, SUBBED, iNTERNAL, DIRFIX, ª ª SAMPLEFIX, NFOFIX, or Read.NFO are allowed (discretion is recommended) ª ª - All releases tagged PROPER, REPACK, RERIP, REAL, and Read.NFO must ª ª include notes in the NFO as to why the release was tagged that way. ª ª PROPER.Read.NFO is therefore redundant and should not be used. ª ª - Additional tagging should be placed directly before the language, i.e. ª ª Show.Name.S00E00.PROPER.SWEDiSH.HDTV.XviD-Group ª ª ª ª - Source Naming: ª ª - Valid source names are DSR, PDTV and HDTV ª ª - Source Definitons: ª ª - 480i/576i/576p shall be tagged DSR when horizontal resolution is ª ª less than 704px ª ª - 480i/576i/576p shall be tagged PDTV when horizontal resolution is ª ª greater than or equal to 704px. ª ª - 720p/1080i/1080p shall be tagged HDTV. ª ª - 4:3 content broadcast at HDTV resolutions shall be tagged PDTV ª ª - All sources listed must be 100% digital. S-Video, composite, or RF ª ª from a digital receiver to a tuner card is analog. Valid DSR, PDTV, ª ª and HDTV sources will be received via a digital connection such as ª ª USB, Firewire, or Ethernet from a receiver, or using an ATSC, QAM, or ª ª DVB tuner. ª ª ª ª - AVI: ª ª - Container must be AVI. ª ª - The AVI itself should be named like the release and include some ª ª format of episode number (show initials are fine, as is shortening the ª ª episode number). ª ª ª ª - RAR/SFV: ª ª - Releases shall be packed into 15,000,000 or 20,000,000 byte rars ª ª using store compression. ª ª - An SFV must be created for all RAR files in the release. ª ª ª ª - Sample: ª ª - All releases must include a sample of length :50-1:10, cut directly ª ª from the release. ª ª - The sample must be placed in a directory named Sample (SAMPLE and ª ª sample are not permitted). ª ª - The file itself should be named uniquely, preferably containing the ª ª name of the release as well as the word sample. ª ª ª ª - NFO: ª ª - An NFO must be included in the release and, at a minimum, must ª ª contain release name, episode number (or title), and date of ª ª airing/release. ª ª - The NFO must be named uniquely based on the name of the release. ª ª ª ª - Allowed Characters: ª ª - abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ª ª - ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ ª ª - 0123456789 ª ª - ._- ª ª - All Sample, NFO, SFV, and RAR names MUST be in all lowercase ª ª letters.
